Team Building brings together activities that increase cohesion within a group in a fun setting. Participants then create connections in a context outside of work, and combine entertainment with putting team building concepts into practice.
Team Building exercises stimulate action, imagination and observation, while allowing participants to get to know each other better. The techniques used increase each person's potential at the creative, intellectual, physical and psychological levels. These techniques also promote leadership development within the company. The team is in a better position to assess its strengths, correct its weaknesses and develop a better work strategy.
Team Building is a set of stimulating and enriching activities, which promotes learning through pleasure. Team Building captures the attention and memory of the group; the transfer of the tools acquired during these exercises to daily professional life thus occurs naturally and in a sustainable manner.
The origins of Team Building:
The concept of team building originated in a study conducted by Elton Mayo in the late 1920s. Elton Mayo and his team of psychologists studied the behavior of employees at Western Electric in Chicago. Making employees feel united and involved in the objectives of the experience had a very beneficial effect on their productivity. Since then, the practice of team building has been growing constantly.
